“God is Love”
Jesus calls us to worship and to serve others by the power of the Holy Spirit. We preach Christ crucified and living among us through the Presence of the Holy Spirit.
We are a congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina.
We invite you to worship and consider becoming a member of our congregation.
Christ Church welcomes all–without exception–to our ministry of love and service. Our fellowship is a springboard to inspire us and support our service in our congregation and community.
Our time-honored order of worship is centered on scripture and Holy Communion. Our pastors are called priests–a carryover from our English roots–who wear classic vestments during the service. If you wish to be Baptized in order to receive communion, speak with the priest following the service.
We contribute to L.A.R.S.–our county transportation service, H.O.P.E.–the community food and social service ministry. We support Sheltered and Ray’s Backdoor Ministry both serving the homeless in our community.
When you arrive for worship, you will receive a bulletin containing the order of service, three readings from scripture and the songs and hymns.
Christ Church was organized in 1853 and moved to our current location in 1963.
